Super cool design.. I happen to have many old wine boxes kicking round now all I have to do is make sure nobody sees me leaving the stationary cupboard at work!

Please check out the latest news from CNN, on Domiz Refugee camp in Northern Iraq. I’m really proud knowing that our winterised tents are helping over 1000 families during this harsh winter.

Entering Domiz UNHCR refugee complex for the first time left me momentarily dazed however we were there to get a job done, to erect 500 winterised ShelterBox tents. and provide Non food items to the recipients of the tents in the form of Blankets, water purification kits, solar lights and school materials.
Infrastructure at the camp went in quickly providing sanitation, electricity and Roads. Initially we witnessed over 500 refugees registering each day. This soon escalated to 1500!

Having recently returned from the Kurdistan Region of Northern Iraq, where I assisted with the temporary rehoming of 1000s of Syrian families it’s taken me a little time to gather my thoughts and share my experiences. This week I will talk through my involvement with the amazing ShelterBox Disaster relief organisation as well as posting some images from my first deployment. In the meantime please take a moment to listen to my link above, and check out the website www.shelterbox.org

2013

Right time to pull my finger out and get blogging!! It’s been far too long my good friends.. This week look out for my involvement with the Syrian refugee crisis, donning a Barbour jacket and Wellingtons and with a bit of luck getting out on my new magic carpet.

Am I the last person to see this film? Sooo Beautiful. Now all we need is for this wind to drop and I can have a nice little evening logging session of my own. (welsh style) x

The Bosnian War (1992-1995) was the worst violence Europe had witnessed since World War Two. During this time, Mostar was the most heavily fought over city. Nedzad Kasumovic defended his besieged city and risked his life to film the destruction of the Old Bridge. Now nearly 20 years on from when it all began, Nedzad tells his story, and unveils the true horrors of war.
